Question: How often can I activate my game?
Answer: In general you can activate your game on 3 different PC configurations - if all your activations are used, please contact our support team to get furhter activations.
Q: Which changes in the PC configuration make a new activation necessary?
A: A PC configuration concsists of the most important factors of your PC - including operating system, CPU, motherboard and the system hard drive. Small changes like exchange of a GPU or addition of extra RAM is not considered a change in the PC configuration. A new activation will not be necessary.
Q: I already perforemd 3 activations. Can I get new activation codes??
A: Yes. If you need further activation please contact the support team (to the support
Q: What kind of data will be transfered from my computer during the online activation process?
A: Only a coded Hash-value, which is calculated from PC hard ware components, and the activation serial number will be transfered to the activation server. No personal data will be transfered..
Q: Do I have to use another activation if a deinstall and later reinstall the game on the same computer?
A: No activation will be needed, if the same PC configuration is used. Activation data will be saved in the folder CSIDL_COMMON_APPDATA\Tages (corresponding to C:\Program files\Tages on Windows Vista). During deinstallation these data will not be deleted.
Q: How often can I reactivate my game on the same PC?
A: As often as you like to - as long as you do not change the PC configuration.
Q: I often reinstall my OS. Do I have to activate the game everytime?
A: The game has to be activated after every reinstallation of the OS. But as long as the PC confiiguration (including hard drive partitioning, where the OS is installed) did not change, no new activation-token will be used, because the activation server will receive the same Hash value. You may also create a back-up of the CSIDL_COMMON_APPDATA\Tages folder and reuse it, if your PC configuration did not change.
Q: May I install the game on a second PC or notebook?
A: In general you may instal lthe game on more than one PC, but you are not allowed to use them simultaneously. This means, that only one player may participate in online multiplayer games with one serial number. Further information can be found in the user information (typically displayed after the installation process).
Q: What happens if the publisher or copyprotection developer stops supporting the game? What happens if the activation servers are shut down permanently?
A: In this unliekly event, a patch will be released, removing the copyprotection system. You will still be able to play 1404/DoD thereafter. The copyprotection system will not affect the functionality of the game.[/color]
