I was having the download failed issues with my primary profile too. So tonight I created a test online profile and it seems to work okay. So I reinstalled the game and had it download my profiles. Only my test profile came back...

Your profile is kept in a folder on your PC.

As mine did yours probably became corrupted. I posted about this issue and did not get a response back.

Your profile is stored in the roaming folder on vista. you should be able to find your old profile data. It will be a file with a bunch of numbers

as an example.

I recently changed OS to windows 7 from vista and am experiencing this "fail to download" crash now that I'm running windows 7.

was there ever a resolution to this issue ?
would be awfully grateful with any help !
While I have my old profile back(via moving the profile file) i cannot do anything as every time i try the game tries to download and crashes

Really rather frustrating as its probably my favorite game right now and while im sure i could create a new offline profile, ive put alot of time into my achievements

my support ticket for a profile issue has been 'holding' for 3 days .. yay

Running Anno 1404 on Win7, got the "failed to upload" problem or something like that.

Any information when this will be solved?
BTW, 1.1 patch encouraged me to play again, finally no tages s**t. Gosh, what an annoying protection that was, especially when you've bought the game and couldn't play because tages servers were down :/

Looking forward for a solution of this Win7 issue and multiplayer implementation, it will be like a resurrection for Anno

since installing Win 7 have had the same problem.
my ubisoft support ticket has had no reply for some time now
after loosing my previous profile to this "failed to upload or download" issue

i have since created a new offline profile and began to work at my achivments again only to have the game crash all together now each time i try and load up any saves from this new profile.

very dissapointed at this point as i really do enjoy this game , but again i suppose it isnt the most popular game and support was never going to be the best

I'm in a similar boat to you Wiggy .. I have 2 tickets with the 'support' team, and little response for over 3 weeks. Honestly, it really is quite shameful how this game is being handled.
