Hi, I wanted to share this, whoever it may help.
I have Windows 7 x64 & Radeon HD card and also got the black terrain bug when I updated the drivers. However, this worked for me; Modify this line in the Engine.ini -file located in "x:\Users\...\Anno1404\Config\Engine.ini": <RE_TerrainRenderMode>0</RE_TerrainRenderMode> and change 0 to 1 Works with Catalyst 9.10 Beta. |

I just install Win7 32bit today and I also had the black terrain and did the same thing that Reviisori did and everything is fine. Plus the copy of Win7 is not a RC or RTM. It a real copy from Microsoft. I just got my copies from Microsoft last week and I thought I would give them a try.
Plus my video driver is ati 9.9 the same one that I run in Vista with no problems. It must have something to with Win7, because the drivers are the same for both OS. I have not done the patch and I will not do it till see what happens with everybody else. http://www.annofans.com/news.php GA-EX58-DS4 Intel Core i7 Q920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 G.SKILL 6GB(3 x 2GB) (PC3 12800)Triple Channel 1-ATI HD 4870 2Gb SILVERSTONE 700W - Vista-64 \ Win7-32/64 - 32" LCD TV. I can confirm that after the installation of patch 1.1 the black terrain bug is non-exsistent.
Win7 RTM 64bit, ATI 4870 with Cat9.9. |

The bug is gone here also with patch 1.1 installed.

I used Reviisori's option and that worked for me.
I have a ATI HD 4890 1gig videocard and catalyst 9.10. Thanks Reviisori |
