Due to another problem of our last wonderful patch, my 23-hours game of The Diplomat Scenario has been bugged

I cannot sink the 50 corsair ships. No matter how many ships I destroy, the Sultan counter is stuck at 50 . I need some cheating.

Could someone tell me how can I edit or modify all files needed to skip or finish this concrete mission?

This game doesn't have counters at quests, so it doesn't say something like "you have xx ships left to destroy". In this case it will remain at 50 until you complete the quest. Come back and say that it is a bug after you kill 50 ships.

I think that that community here will be hard on you for wanting to cheat, and i'm sure you won't find anything more than what google can offer you.

Some people need all the help they can get Like it or not. Dont be so narrow minded.

I play a game called company of heroes. There is one mission that you could not finish. The only way around it was you had to change a line in the file so you go to the next mission. Now not all the people had a problem so if you didn't do the mission just right you were stuck. I think what he is looking for about the same thing that we had to do in that game.

I agree with Retired1936, I'm retired after a stroke(short term memory loss) and some parts of this game (chapter 5) are "challenging" and require many restarts to get through them, sometimes a little "help" is all that's needed instead of putting the game in the too hard catagory

I see. So why a timer appeared befor the patch was installed and it was not seen after. I remember that I had to kill 50 ships in less than an hour. Clearly, the patch bugged my saved game

I don't like cheating, but sadly it is necessary in this case because I cannot finish the scenario normally. Blame it on the patch, please.

Thank you for your support, as all others in this thread. Could someone confirm that there is no counter teling me how many corsairs ships are left? I wouldn't like to dedicate 20 additional hours sinking them for nothing.

I can't tell if there is counter because I got that quest. From that point on the corsair never ask for any more money so I couldn't goto war with him. I never finish that quest to this day and it is still sitting there.

What I do when I have a problem when playing is go back to the last saved game an undo my problem. You do need to save the game you are playing each time you reach a part that is working for you.

I know, I know, but I didn't do it this time. I will try to sink 50 ships and tell here what happened.

Sadly, it didn't worked, as I feared . I destroyed 51 corsair ships...and the Sultan is still asking for the mission.

Please, could someone tell me how can I cheat this mission. Only this mission, please. I promise I will make all the following properly, but I don't want to lose 33 hours of game!!!
