whenever I am trying to play 1404 my cursor (pointer) disappears and I am unable to further proceed in the game because of this. Has anyone had this similar problem and/or is there anyway to relieve this issue?
Thanks, but I just purchased the game, installed it, and have been trying to get the game to work properly, without luck. I have not been able to get the cursor to appear in the game only once, and that was at the very beginning when I was trying to shut it off.
I have had it happen to me that the cursor was still there but I couldn't do any thing with it. The cursor looks like 5 or 6 little lines in a row. Plus what kind of computer or laptop are you trying to run it on.
Well originally it started happening on my 32-bit Windows Vista system and then I upgraded to a 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate OS with an E6600 CPU and running 4 GB of memory. I have an EVGA 8800 Super Overclocked video card. I hope that was sufficient in answering your question. I have no problem whatsoever running other games like for instance Fallout3.
I swear this game is a worthless piece of crap! I have not yet been able to get it to work on either a Windows Vista or 7 32-bit machine! And the technical support for this game is impossible for me to even contact because twice now I am unable to login to state my question. This game is crap and I could have used the money that I spent on this worthless disk to spend on a couple boxes of ammunition for the upcoming revolution.
I was only asking because I have heard that people trying to run it on they laptops. I understand you are having a problem. But have you tried to install the patch. I have run this on everything out there from XP to win7 that I'm running it on right now win7. It has to be something simple. What kind of mouse are you running and have you update your video driver. I'm just trying to help and throw out things to try. Sometimes it can be something very simple that you are over looking.
Considering this is a fresh install of Windows 7 with everything new and up to date, I have tried everything. I uninstalled my mouse software because I read online that sometimes Logitech software can mess up your mouse pointers in some software. So I uninstalled that, with no luck. I uninstalled my antivirus/firewall software, because some people as well as I have had issues with it having some issues with other software... still no luck. I have really nothing extra on this machine that would make this issue prevalent and I am beginning to lose patience. Which I didn't have much to begin with.
My Mouse is a Logitech optical gaming mouse 518. The only software that I have on this contraption is Spyware Doctor, Registry Mechanic, Internet Download Manager, and WinPatrol Pro, and that's about it. I am going to go through and turn everything off using WinPatrol and see if I have any luck.
The mouse is is usb or ps2. If it is usb go in to the bios and see how it is set up. It can be set to run to the bois or to the OS. What ever it is set to change it to the other to see what happens. Have you tried a different mouse. If this is and new install did you update you video driver. Plus I know that Nvidia is using the NVIDIA PhysX System Software too. I don't run to many Nvidia card so don't if you need this or not.
